Your MOT questions answered.
The MOT is a compulsory annual test of motor vehicles to ensure that they are properly maintained. When your Saab passes the MOT inspection, you'll receive a certificate that must be kept in the car at all times. The MOT scheme is monitored by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) and essentially helps ensure road safety.
Your first MOT is due when your car is three years old/ After that, you must get an MOT annually. Without a valid MOT, your saab does not have a valid insurance policy and you may be liable for a fine of up to £1,000 plus a fixed penalty.
